Bedtime Story, Outreach By Jacob Kobina Ayiah Mensah
She cuts a
large part of the sky with a pair of scissors
and sews it for her three daughters.
They wear
their new dresses
and the big boys at the party cannot look
elsewhere again. They reflect fire.
Suddenly their dresses raincloud, rain,
and the ground floods, the paddies are
shouting and drowning.
The girls sit quietly at their tables watching while
their mother is still serving.
